The Family Feud

I used to love this show, and I never missed it. It's called "The Family Feud". Perhaps some of you remember it.

At any rate, this is the final round of the game, where the winning family sends two members to answer the same questions. If they can get 200 points or more, they win the grand prize of $5000.

The first person does fairly well, and answers the questions as one would expect. The next guy...well, he's the reason I'm putting this on my blog.

  • Well, at least North Carolina's actually a southern state. I can't believe two people actually answered "night" for the going to bed question.

On a side note, that host always did come off as too touchy-feely for me, especially when he would kiss the women on the lips. That really blew my mind when I saw it again a few years ago.

  • Actually, I like that host. Richard Dawson was especially funny when he was picking on the contestants. Something about the way he did it was always so endearing.

He was indeed a little touchy feely, but he was a product of his generation, you know.

  • I didn't realize the '70s and '80s were such a touchy-feely generation. Anyway, I'm more used to Ray Parker, as he was the one I grew up watching. I'm not sure when the transition took place, but I know I'm not that young.

  • I remember Richard Dawson hosting this show for the most part, but I think I recall Ray Combs too. I like this show a lot and it was always my childhood dream to go on the show. Alas.

Apparently there's a Japanese version of the show. Heh. I'd love to see that.
