Back From the Dead
Yes, this blog is back from the purgatory it fell into when Blogger was bought out by Google. To that, credit must be given to Jon of Jonathan's Japan Journal (see the link to the right) who helped me get up and running again.
You'll notice some changes.
It's a new color, for one.
Also, I have put in the page header a picture of my old home, Minneapolis, Minnesota. The picture was taken in the winter of 98/99 with a disposable panoramic calendar and shows the north bank of the Mississippi River. It sure brings back memories, and it's hard to believe that it's been almost a decade since I took that picture on that cold winter day.
It's been a decade of many twists and turns. During that time I've moved residence more times than I remember (at least 5 times), and have had the pleasure of meeting many interesting people on the way. Both of my brothers got married, and I got two wonderful sisters-in-law in the process.
I had the opporunity to travel to Singapore, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Guam, and South Korea, and I had a great time at each of these places.
Sorry, I don't know where I'm going with this....I've been drinking.
But the point is that it's been an eventful number of years, and although I do enjoy looking back and reliving the "glory days", I equally look forward to the next set of "glory days". Every day we live is precious and a "glory day" in it's own right. It's too bad that we often don't realize it until 'today' is long gone.

So true—we never appreciate "today" enough. Life always starts from now!
And, again, I'm glad to see you back in the blogging ring, my friend.
Thanks! Here's to today! *cheers*
